Undergraduate Student/Faculty Research Awards

Undergraduate Student/Faculty Research Awards will support up to 10 student/faculty research teams. These awards are open to any student on the UM-M campus. Each successful student applicant will receive an undergraduate research scholarship of $500 per semester and each student/faculty team will receive up to an additional $500 to cover expenses related to their research activities (the purchase of books or materials, travel, etc.). The program is intended to a) provide selected students (sophomores through seniors) a) the opportunity to spend the academic year apprenticing with a faculty mentor, learning from and assisting with his or her research activity, and b) planning, developing, and carrying out his or her own research project with the guidance of that faculty mentor. Specific information can be found by downloading the information and application below.
