Nonprofit Leadership Student Association

The Nonprofit Leadership Student Association (NLSA) is an ASUM-recognized student organization at the University of Montana. NLSA is a professional student association that helps students build skills necessary for successful entry into the nonprofit field. The organization provides its membership with opportunities to achieve the competencies required for the Certified Nonprofit Professional credential offered by the national Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

NLSA meets weekly throughout each academic semester. The group organizes fundraisers (to support travel to the national conference), completes community service projects, and conducts a case study with a local nonprofit organization each year to gain experience in a specific nonprofit leadership situation and provide helpful resources to local program partners.
