American Humanics Internship
Students must complete a 300-hour internship with a nonprofit organization for American Humanics certification and/or the Minor in Nonprofit Administration. Students seeking only AH certification have the option of taking the internship for credit or no credit. Students taking the minor must take the internship for 3 credits. Students performing the internship for credit may receive credit through their major department, the political science department, or the Davidson Honors College. All internships must be approved by the campus program director who will perform site visits and help to supervise all student interns.
Students should apply for their internship after completing PSC 466 and 467. Internship application and approval forms for students are available from Andrea Vernon, American Humanics campus director, at the Office for Civic Engagement, Davidson Honors College Room 015.
Agencies wishing to request an American Humanics intern should complete the Nonprofit Agency Internship Request Form.
